Communications Coordinator:

Appointed by the Regional Management Team, the Communications Coordinator is responsible for dispersing information to the region from International, maintaining internal communication channels among the region, chapters, and individual members, maintaining the regional website, records of regional meetings and activities, and the minutes of Regional Management Team meetings.

Elected by regional front-line directors, the Directors' Coordinator fosters communication with and between regional front-line directors, represents the directors' interests on the Regional Management Team, and provides opportunities for a directors' forum at regional events.

Education Coordinator:

The Education Coordinator is appointed by Sweet Adelines International and develops and executes an education plan tailored to the needs of Region 8. The EC (and staff) plans and schedules regional education events, schedules visits with chartered and prospective choruses, helps with choruses in revitalization, appoints and oversees the activities of Directors Certification Program Coordinator, the Young Women in Harmony Program Coordinator, the Arrangers Program Coordinator and, in conjunction with the Membership Coordinator, schedules internationally funded visits.

Events Coordinator:

Appointed by the Regional Management Team, the Events Coordinator coordinates on-site arrangements for all regional meetings and events, including regional competitions, oversees the work of the Chair of the Regional Convention (CRC), works with the Marketing and Education Coordinators to market educational events, and oversees registration for all regional events.

Finance Coordinator:

Appointed by the Regional Management Team, the Finance Coordinator is primarily responsible for administering and monitoring the region's financial resources, keeping detailed records of all regional financial matters, submitting tax reports and guiding the Regional Management Team when setting goals and long-range planning. The Finance Coordinator also implements audit controls and procedures, and prepares and submits a State of the Regional Financial Report.

Marketing Coordinator:

Appointed by the Regional Management Team, the Marketing Coordinator develops and provides marketing and public relations programs that promote chapter and regional events, and membership growth and retention. and maintains the region's social media presence — Facebook, Twitter, etc., to keep members informed and to attract new members. Works closely with Membership Coordinator, Events Coordinator and Education Coordinator to promote programs. Works with Communications Coordinator to help with regional website design and layout.

Elected by the members of the region, the Membership Coordinator communicates president/team leader and chapter needs and issues to the Regional Management Team and provides and facilitates a forum for presidents/team coordinators at regional events. The Membership Coordinator and team serve as membership growth and retention and chapter administration experts, and facilitates communication with prospective chapters, chapters in revitalization, and chapter-at-large members.

Competition Steering Committee

CSC is overseen by the Events Coordinator of the Management Team. Approved annually by Sweet Adelines International, the Competition Coordinator appoints committee members to help manage the convention and competition experience for the region.

Young Women In Harmony Coordinator:

The goal of the Young Women in Harmony program is to provide educational and performance opportunities to young women, and to offer music educators a means of including the study and performance of barbershop harmony in school music programs. Appointed by the Education Coordinator, the YWIH Coordinator position is administrative in function, and helps chapters understand how to inform their local school districts of the availability of the Young Women in Harmony materials and to ensure the visibility of the program by organizing representation at state conventions of NAfME; the National Association for Music Education.
