Regional Management Team (RMT) Elections for 2020-22


Region 8 is continuing the transition back to a Regional Management Team (RMT) governance model from the pilot Regional Executive Committee (REC) governance program. This transition required abbreviated 6-month service periods for some RMT coordinators in order to re-align with the RMT governance elections and appointments cycle as established by Sweet Adelines International.


You will recall that only a few short months ago we went through the application and voting process for the Membership Coordinator. This poisition, as well as the Team Coordinator and Communications Coordinator positions, were in this 6-month rotation.


Once again the Region 8 Nominating Committee is soliciting applications for three Regional Management Team positions:

  • Membership Coordinator (elected by regional membership)
  • Communications Coordinator (appointed by the RMT)
  • Team Coordinator (appointed by the RMT)

The term for these positions will begin May 1, 2020 and end April 30, 2022.


If you have ever though about serving your region in this capacity or learning more about the purpose of the region in relation to your chapter membership, now is the time to submit your application! And of course, if you know someone who would be a good fit for the RMT feel free to provide their name(s) to the Nominating Committe, to make sure they apply!
